My Story
Following a successful but unfulfilling career as a commercial barrister in London I decided to change course completely and found myself drawn to retraining in physical therapy.
Not being able to shake off my critical reasoning "hat" however I soon became disillusioned with the limitations of traditional manual therapy and biomechanical approaches that ignored the role of the brain, neurology and metabolism. I therefore set about learning from the best in the field and training in therapies based on applied clinical neuroscience, biochemistry and functional neurology.
My practical experience in clinic lead to an understanding that biochemistry, immunology and the role of functional and herbal medicine provides by far the most effective approach to treating not only pain and movement issues but also a wide spectrum of health conditions. More than that though, it can offer a simple route to optimal health, vitality and longevity using natural medicine.
I am a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Medical Herbalist and am constantly learning and improving my clinical skills. I have run a hugely successful in person clinic (The Body Detective) in East Sussex attracting clients from all over the United Kingdom and now I am able to offer online treatment solutions for clients from all over the world.
I always strive to be a better and more efficient therapist for my clients and will always be looking at cutting edge approaches to improve my clinical skills. To that end I am a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and an Associate Member of the National Institute for Medical Herbalism.
